Dr. John Joyce
Medical Director
Dr. Joyce graduated from the University of Florida School of Veterinary Medicine in June of 2007. Since graduation, he had split his time between a large, multi-doctor general practice and an emergency/specialty hospital, prior to opening Regal Animal Hospital. This opportunity provided him with significant experience, working with both a board-certified surgeon and internist as well as gaining significant experience with emergency cases. Dr. Joyce practices all aspects of veterinary medicine and has significant interest in internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. He is married with 2 children (3 and 5 years of age) and currently has 2 sweet rescue pit bulls – Olive and Furiosa.
Dr. Victoria Delaporte
Associate Veterinarian
Victoria received her B.S. in Biology from the University of Florida and graduated with her doctorate degree in May of 2018. Victoria is now working at Regal as an associate veterinarian, alongside her brother, Dr. John Joyce. She has a special interest in feline medicine and currently owns four cats of her own – Rollo, Peanut, Dwight, and Queenie. She enjoys spending time with her fiance, Marc, and loves to go to the beach, go fishing, and play sports (especially golf and tennis).
Dr. Chris Carmona
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Carmona was born and raised in Miami, Florida. Tambien habla español. Being a true Florida native, he enjoys the sunshine and year-round warmer weather. After high school, he pursued his degrees in Animal Sciences and subsequently, Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida (Go Gators!). During veterinary school, he focused on small animal medicine and was able to volunteer with a feline trap-neuter-release program in Gainesville and with underdeveloped communities in Mexico, Honduras and Ecuador. After graduation, he married his Puerto Rican classmate, Maite Cintron, and they moved to the Jupiter area as newlywed novice veterinarians.
Eventually, an opportunity to pursue their dream of owning and managing a practice with his wife led to them moving down to Boynton Beach. In 2014, they welcomed their first daughter Gianna into the Carmona-Cintron home, and three years later, their second daughter Ivanna completed the tribe. Several years later, they sold Coral Breeze Animal Hospital, and stayed on as Associate Veterinarians. Over the years, he would also intermittently fill in as a relief doctor at various practices in Palm Beach County.
Dr. Carmona enjoys spending time outdoors with his family. He loves the beach life and exercising (especially running). He completed a marathon and a sprint triathlon in 2021. Being a foodie, he loves a great meal and tasting/creating new flavors. Traveling and making memories in new places with different cultures and novel experiences has always been a passion. When time allows, a good book in a peaceful setting is always welcomed. He also volunteers with the kids ministry at Journey Church.
At home, they have Chi Chi, a sweet and lovable medium-sized mutt, and Polo, a leopard gecko.
